Welcome to Grand Rapids Learning Center
Greetings and thank you for your interest in the Grand Rapids Learning Center (GRLC) at Grand Rapids Community College. As principal of GRLC, I am glad that you have committed to exploring our high school in consideration of joining this world-class institution of progress and opportunity for scholars. GRLC is the only high school on a college campus in West Michigan. Through our partnerships with Grand Rapids Community College and M-TEC, our unique learning community provides scholars with opportunities to address academic deficiencies and make up missing credits, while also preparing them for college and careers. As a scholar at GRLC, our students can work ahead and earn college credits at GRCC as a dual-enrolled student. At GRLC, our expectation is that all students can learn and be successful, and we believe that "effort determines outcome."
I look forward to building relationships with all our scholars and stakeholders in the school community. For more information, please call us at 616-819-1045.

School Transparency
The Grand Rapids Learning Center is a partnership between the Grand Rapids Public Schools and Grand Rapids Community College. Our high school was developed to re-engage 16- to 19-year-olds who seek to obtain a high school diploma, have an interest in dual enrollment, and are looking for an alternative option to a traditional high school.
Established in the fall of 2011, the Grand Rapids Learning Center at GRCC is a unique college-preparatory high school completion program. We offer a unique experience for students who seek to recapture credit deficiencies and are interested in dual enrollment, identifying a career path, transitioning to college, and/or workforce training (M-TEC) upon high school credit completion. If you desire smaller class sizes and an opportunity to be in a quiet work environment on a college campus, the Grand Rapids Learning Center is a great consideration.
Located downtown Grand Rapids on GRCC’s DeVos Campus, 435 East Fulton Street (between College and Prospect Avenues), our office is in Sneden Hall, Room 110. Students accepted to GRLC earn a high school diploma via an on-line learning platform and are offered the opportunity to dual enroll at GRCC if they meet the established requirements for admittance into the Grand Rapids Learning Center.
Meet Our Principal
We have incorporated distance learning for years and are poised to be a leader in the district as a blended model of new technologies and old practices, giving our students the best of both worlds. Our 1-to-1 student technology device approach ensures that every student has the opportunity to learn inside and outside the classroom.
